Role Overview:

As a Data Scientist at NEXEL, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex datasets, building predictive models, and deriving actionable insights to solve challenging business problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data and machine learning to drive strategic decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms to extract insights and generate predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand data characteristics, identify patterns, and uncover insights that inform model development.
  • Design and develop data pipelines and workflows to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Evaluate model performance and conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure accuracy, reliability, and robustness.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, contributing to the advancement of analytical capabilities within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong track record of developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms to solve real-world problems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
  • Experience working with big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to approach complex problems in a structured and analytical manner.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
